Clients must discontinue use of retinols, antibiotics, and topical creams such as steroids a week prior.
Additionally, clients should wait at least 2 weeks post-Botox or filler before receiving a facial. This allows the injectable to settle fully and ensures that treatment will not disrupt placement or outcomes.

When working toward a goal like clearing or preventing acne, anti-aging, and brightening, etc., I typically recommend coming in every 4-6 weeks, generally, for someone who is looking for a refresh, once a quarter.

I personally do not use steam in my facials with the exception of back facials. Steamers can feel claustrophobic and typically harder to keep clean so I prefer to use towels which I have found to be just as effective and more relaxing in my 4 years of practice.

I personally do not see clients currently taking accutane. The skin is in a fragile state and the rubbing and heat can be unhelpful. Users should wait 6 months post-treatment to start back up with regular facials.
